We <3 FALAFEL

I’m sure if I actually sat down for a meal at Salam I would be in heaven, but since I was just passing by to get sweets at Nazareth next door, I only had enough room in my belly to share a Kifta Sandwich with my friends.

The service was very friendly and welcoming. The guy attending to us was a little shocked that we were only ordering one sandwich among the three of us, but I told him we were just there to “taste” today and that we would come back for more. Just then, I noticed that you can order single falafel balls for $0.25 so of course we ordered 4 of them. While he prepared our food, he found a moment to grab each of us a falafel ball for us to munch on.

Salam's Kifta Platter

I love falafel and these were well-seasoned and slightly spicy with an amazing, crunchy crust. It didn’t need tahini sauce because it was already nice and moist. Our food was ready about 7 minutes later and we discovered that we had another 5 falafel balls in our baggie to go! Who doesn’t love free food?

Bottom Line: Juicy and well-presented kifta + free falafel = TASTY!!!
